Department Overview:
Capital Dynamics’ Business Development team is responsible for the fundraising of every alternative investment product on the global CD platform, across various markets local to our Firm. Our team focuses on Institutional Limited Partners (“LPs”), including (but not limited to) Public Pension Funds, Private Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, Financial Institutions, Foundations, Endowments, Single Family Offices, Private Wealth investors (i.e., High-Net-Worth Individuals and the financial intermediaries that serve them, including Wealth Platforms, Broker-Dealers, Registered Investment Advisors, Multi-Family Offices, etc.), etc. Additionally, we work closely with consultants that serve the aforementioned Institutional LPs and Private Wealth investors. Role Purpose:
Capital Dynamics are seeking a self-starting junior professional to join our Business Development (“BD”) team in the Madrid office. Working alongside the Managing Director, Business Development, the Analyst OR Senior Analyst will assist with a range of activities to support and help with coordination in various activities of the team. The ideal candidate is an organized, resourceful individual with experience providing support across a range of activities.
In addition to supporting the Managing Director, the post-holder will work closely with team members across our broader BD, Product Development & Strategy (“PDS”), Marketing & Communications (“MarComms”), Client Relations (“CR”), Legal and Compliance, and Investment Management (“IM”) teams.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the senior sales professional across a range of activities including but not limited to, meeting scheduling, diary management, travel arrangements, prospecting research, conference marketing support, meeting prep notes and post-call notes etc.
• Monitor databases to identify investment searches; responsible for developing and maintaining tracking sheet outlining status of all ongoing RFP searches.
• Monitor relevant industry databases (including Preqin, S&P MMD, etc.) and manage the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365) on ongoing / as needed basis.
• Liaise with the Product Development and Strategy (“PDS”) team to complete client DDQ (Due Diligence Questionnaire’s), RfP (Request for Proposals) and RFI (Request for Information) as necessary.
• Liaise with client relations, operations, fund accounting, legal to collect responses to various client questions and provide a final draft to the Managing Director.
• Manage tracking of all prospects moves and their new employment.
• Prepare marketing materials (e.g. presentations, diligence presentations, ad-hoc requests) working alongside the Marketing, Legal, PDS and Client Relations teams.
• Assist with the fund closing process (i.e. Managing subscription documents and liaising with Legal, Tax and Compliance).
• Assist with weekly updates / clean-up in CRM database to ensure information is accurate for upcoming week.
Key Competencies and Experience:
• 2 to 4 plus years of experience in a support / project management role – ideally with an asset management, private equity, or institutional investment consulting firm, with a focus on private assets preferred, but not essential.
• Strong organizational, project / process management skills and the ability work well with others and operate in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to proof own work and work of others.
• Ability to work under tight timeframes and manage strict deadlines.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• A strong networker with the ability to source opportunities independently.

Education and Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree with strong academic background.
• Exceptional proficiency MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Excel.
Languages:
• Must be fluent in English and display superior writing skills.
• Proficiency in another European language; Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese is highly advantageous though not essential.
