Department Overview:

Capital Dynamics’ Business Development team is responsible for the fundraising of every alternative investment product on the global CD platform, across various markets local to our Firm.  Our team focuses on Institutional Limited Partners (“LPs”), including (but not limited to) Public Pension Funds, Private Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, Financial Institutions, Foundations, Endowments, Single Family Offices, Private Wealth investors (i.e., High-Net-Worth Individuals and the financial intermediaries that serve them, including Wealth Platforms, Broker-Dealers, Registered Investment Advisors, Multi-Family Offices, etc.), etc.  Additionally, we work closely with consultants that serve the aforementioned Institutional LPs and Private Wealth investors.  Whether our clients are global multinationals or regional investors, we’re committed to creating tailored investment solutions (alongside Investment Management and Product Development & Strategy) based on their goals. 

 

Role Purpose:

Capital Dynamics are seeking to hire a Senior Analyst or Associate to join our Business Development, Sales (“DB”) team in the Milan office.

The Senior Analyst / Associate will assist with a range of business development and sales support activities in support of the fundraising / marketing of CD’s products to institutional Limited Partners and Consultants within the Italian market.

The ideal candidate will be an organized and resourceful individual with private asset marketing or business development experience that can support our senior sales individuals on their outreach and relationship building.

This role will work closely with team members across our BD, Product Development & Strategy (“PDS”), Marketing & Communications (“MarComm”), Client Relations (“CR”) and Investment Management (“IM”) teams globally.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the senior sales professional across a range of activities including but not limited to, meeting co-ordination, prospecting research, conference marketing support, meeting prep notes and post-call notes etc.

• Manage calendar of meetings / scheduling in coordination with senior sales representatives (and Investment Management individuals in some instances)

• Assist the senior sales professional in strengthening the relationship with existing Limited Partners and identifying, accessing and winning new prospects with the ultimate aim of enhancing Capital Dynamics client franchise in Italy.

• Participate in meetings with Limited Partners and prospects in co-ordination with the senior sales professional as appropriate.

• Monitor relevant industry databases (e.g. Preqin, etc.) and market intelligence in the Italian Institutional Investors’ market for private capital, manage and update the Capital Dynamics CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365) on an ongoing / as-needed basis.

• Assist with in-bound Limited Partner and Consultant requests across all strategies in timely manner in co-ordination with the senior sales professional.

• Liaise and assist in project management with the Product Development and Strategy team to complete client DDQ (Due Diligence Questionnaires) RfP (Request for Proposal’s) and RfI (Request for Information’s) as necessary.

• Assist with the fund closing process (i.e., managing subscription documents and liaising with Fund Operations, Legal, Tax and Compliance).

• Prepare marketing materials (e.g. presentations, finals presentations, ad-hoc requests) working alongside the Marketing, PDS and Client Relations teams.

 

Key Competencies and Experience:

• 4 to 6 or more years of experience in a support / project management role – ideally with an asset management, institutional investment consulting or institutional investor firm (e.g. Pension Fund, Family Office, Wealth Management Platform), with a focus on private capital preferred, but not essential.

• Strong project / process management skills and the ability to work well with others and operate in an entrepreneurial environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to proof own work and work of others.

• Ability to work under tight timeframes and manage strict deadlines.

• Highly organized with great attention to detail.

• A strong networker with the ability to source opportunities independently.

• Able to work under tight timeframes and manage strict deadlines.

 

Education and Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree with strong academic background.

• Exceptional proficiency MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Excel.

 

Languages:

• Must be fluent in Italian and English with superior writing skills.

• Proficiency in another European language; Spanish, German, French is highly advantageous though not essential.
