We are delighted to feature in the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association’s (BVCA) ’10 Steps to Net Zero’ report, detailing the action private capital is taking to combat the climate crisis, meet Net Zero and protect our planet. A case study of our onshore wind project, Longhill in Scotland, was selected for its strong responsible investment credentials.
Wind power is the U.K.’s primary source of renewable energy – 60% of Scotland’s electricity comes from onshore wind. Earlier this year, Capital Dynamics funded one of the largest subsidy-free onshore wind farms in the U.K. During its lifetime, the project is expected to reduce greenhouse emissions by over 2.6 million metric tons – the equivalent amount of electricity to power over 440,000 homes for a year. The impact of this project goes much further – protecting the local ecosystem, donating to local initiatives through community funding and using local labor during construction.
