The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland (CFNI) is delighted to announce the opening of the new Dunmore Community Benefit Fund.
This local community fund has been set up by global firm Capital Dynamics and will support local groups from the areas surrounding the Dunmore Wind Farm near Aghanloo in County Derry, Londonderry. £35,000 of grants will be available to community projects in 2014 and the Fund is expected to provide over £800,000 of grants over the next two decades.
The Fund welcomes applications from constituted community and voluntary groups addressing issues such as energy efficiency and sustainability, social, cultural or sporting benefit for the local community, education and environmental or economic benefit.
The community benefit fund, managed by Community Foundation NI, is committed to ensuring communities will see real benefit from the initiative. Eamonn Donaghy, Fund Development Manager at CFNI said: “The Community Foundation is dedicated to working in partnership with businesses and individuals across Northern Ireland to develop funding solutions that provide local people with the maximum benefit. We are delighted to announce another local Fund that will allow communities to make a real difference in their area.”

Applications for funding should be received by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland (CFNI) by 1 pm on Monday, 6th October 2014.
