Capital Dynamics’ Clean Energy Infrastructure Announces Promotions of Benoit Allehaut and Tim Short to Managing Director

Promotions Expand Senior Investment Team

NEW YORK – April 15, 2019: Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, today announced that its Clean Energy Infrastructure (CEI) team has promoted Benoit Allehaut and Tim Short to Managing Director. Mr. Allehaut and Mr. Short are responsible for leading sourcing, due diligence and execution of transactions on behalf of the North American investment team along with supporting capital raising efforts. Mr. Allehaut and Mr. Short join John Breckenridge, Senior Managing Director and Head of Energy Infrastructure, and Simon Eaves, Managing Director and Head of Clean Energy Infrastructure, Europe, as members of the CEI senior investment team.

Benoit Allehaut is a Managing Director with the Clean Energy Infrastructure team in New York. He has 20 years of energy and infrastructure finance experience, spanning across Europe and North America. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics in 2013, Benoit held project development and financing positions at BlackRock-NTR, First Solar, General Electric and Compact Power. He began his career in the French Foreign Service and started in the energy sector at SIIF Energies which became EDF EN and then as a regulatory affairs analyst at Enron Europe. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from ESCE in France and a MBA from the Judge Business School at Cambridge University in the UK.

Tim Short is a Managing Director with the Clean Energy Infrastructure team in New York. He has over 14 years of energy-related experience. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics in 2010, Tim held positions at UBS Investment Bank within the global power and utilities team and at Greentech Capital Advisors as an investment banking associate. He has also worked as a climate change advisor to the former Australian Federal Minister for the Environment. His involvement with clean energy began as a junior process engineer at BP Solar (Australia) and CSG Solar (Australia). Tim holds bachelor's degrees in Commerce (Finance) and Engineering (Photovoltaics and Solar Energy), from the University of New South Wales and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
