Capital Dynamics Global Secondaries V voted best performer in over $500 million category

Zug, Switzerland – October 27, 2022 – Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, today announced that it received the award for Best Secondaries Fund Performance in the over USD $500 million category at the 2022 Private Equity Wire Awards. The award was granted to Capital Dynamics for Global Secondaries V (“GSEC V” or “the Fund”) following a review of Bloomberg performance data, with a public vote deciding the winner.

Martin Hahn, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Dynamics, said: “This award is a testament to both the performance of GSEC V and the strength of our global secondaries platform. The Fund set an all-time Capital Dynamics fundraising record, and the creativity of the strategy has earned superior returns for our investors. I am confident that our team will continue delivering for our clients by taking advantage of the significant opportunities in the secondaries market.”

Joseph Marks, Head of Secondaries at Capital Dynamics, said: “We are honored to receive this industry recognition which is the direct result of the valuable contributions of our dedicated global team. The current market correction continues to present highly attractive investment opportunities, comparable to those seen during the global financial crisis, allowing us to continue to build upon our success in GSEC V.”

Advised by a multinational team across North America, Europe and Asia, GSEC V invests in a diversified portfolio of global secondary interests in mid-market private equity funds. The strategy is focused on smaller off-market opportunities sourced on a global basis across a wide range of transaction types, including LP interests, fund recapitalizations and structured portfolio solutions.  The Fund closed in March 2021 with USD $786 million in capital commitments from institutional clients and private wealth platforms across the United States, Middle East, Europe and Asia.
