Milano Finanza: Private Equity Outlook 2025: Signs of Recovery and Strategic Resilience

Andrea Mazzaferro, Senior Managing Director and Head of Primaries Europe, was recently interviewed by Milano Finanza about Private Equity Outlook 2025.

After several years of global economic shocks, the first half of 2025 has revealed encouraging signs of recovery for private equity markets. Divestment activity surged in Q1, supported by resilient M&A dynamics and significant deals backed by private equity funds. Despite a temporary slowdown in Q2, largely due to geopolitical uncertainties, the overall market shows renewed momentum—particularly in small and mid-sized fund segments.

In this context, the secondary market continues to prove its strategic value, offering enhanced liquidity and extended holding periods for high-quality assets. The mid-market remains attractive with a favorable risk-return profile compared to large-cap funds, benefitting from lower valuations and greater emphasis on value creation.

Capital Dynamics, with its long-term investment outlook and diversified portfolio strategies, continues to navigate market volatility effectively, supporting sustainable growth and investor resilience.
